Ask a question
Where is the office?

At C. La Paz 104, Int. 104, Centro, 37000 León de los Aldama, Guanajuato, Mexico.

How do I book an appointment?

I see patients by appointment. Message me on WhatsApp at +52 477 813 0981 or call the office at +52 477 714 9931, tell me what you need, and I'll give you a day and time.

How much does treatment cost?

It depends on each mouth. The price comes out of the exam and diagnosis, and you know it before any treatment starts.

Do you see children?

Yes. Children's dentistry is a core part of my practice: prevention, corrective treatment and jaw orthopedics that guide how the facial bones grow from an early age.

What kinds of orthodontics do you offer?

Traditional braces, clear braces and invisible aligners, for children, teens and adults.

What are my options if I'm missing a tooth?

Dental implants, with or without a crown, and fixed, removable or complete prosthetics. At your visit we look at which one fits your case.

Do you have your own dental lab?

Yes. Prosthetics, crowns and appliances are designed and made in my own lab, with no middleman.

Do you speak English?

Yes. I can see you in English, and this site is in English too.

How long does orthodontic treatment take?

It depends on how much the teeth need to move and on your age. I give you an estimate at the assessment, once I've seen your bite.

Which is better, braces or aligners?

Both straighten teeth. Braces stay on and handle almost anything; aligners barely show and come off to eat, but you have to wear them all day. I'll tell you which fits your case.

Am I too old for braces?

No. Orthodontics works for adults as long as the gums and bone are healthy.

When should a child get checked?

The earlier the better. With kids I can use jaw orthopedics to guide growth and avoid longer treatment later.

How much does orthodontics cost?

It depends on the appliance and how long treatment takes. I give you the full estimate at your assessment, before we start.

How do I know if I need a root canal?

The most common signs are strong pain or pain that wakes you up, lingering sensitivity to cold or heat, pain when biting and swollen gums. Only an exam confirms it.

Does a root canal hurt?

It's done under local anesthesia. What hurts most is the infected tooth before treatment; the root canal is what takes that pain away.

Is a root canal better than pulling the tooth?

Whenever possible, keeping your own tooth beats replacing it. If it can't be saved, there are options like implants or prosthetics.

What comes after a root canal?

Usually the tooth is restored with a filling or a crown, especially molars, so it doesn't crack.

How much does a root canal cost?

It depends on the tooth and how many canals it has. I give you the price after the exam, before we start.

What is a dental implant?

A post placed in the jawbone that works as an artificial root. A crown goes on top that looks and works like a tooth.

Who can get an implant?

Anyone with enough bone and healthy gums. I confirm it at the assessment; sometimes the gums need treatment first.

Implant or dental bridge?

An implant doesn't touch the neighboring teeth; a bridge rests on them. I explain which fits your case and budget.

Does getting an implant hurt?

Placement is done under local anesthesia. Afterward there may be some discomfort for a few days, managed with the instructions I give you.

How much does a dental implant cost?

It depends on whether it has a crown, the material and whether anything else is needed first. I give you the full estimate at your assessment.

Does whitening damage teeth?

Done in the office after an exam, it's a safe procedure. You may feel some sensitivity for a few days, which goes away on its own.

How long does whitening last?

It depends on your habits. Coffee, tea, soda and tobacco stain teeth faster.

Are a cleaning and whitening the same thing?

No. A cleaning removes tartar and surface stains; whitening lightens the color of the tooth itself.

Does whitening lighten fillings or crowns?

No. It only lightens natural teeth, which is why it's worth checking your restorations first.

How much does teeth whitening cost?

I give you the price at the exam, once I know whether you need a cleaning first.

How long do veneers last?

With good care they last for years. It helps not to bite hard objects and to keep up with your cleanings.

Do veneers damage your teeth?

In some cases the tooth needs a little preparation. I explain at the assessment what that means in your case.

Which is better, composite or porcelain?

Each material has pros in price, durability and finish. I explain which suits your teeth and budget.

When can't you get veneers?

If there are cavities, inflamed gums or heavy wear, that has to be treated first.

How much do veneers cost?

It depends on the material and how many you need. I give you the estimate at your assessment.

When do you need a crown?

When a tooth is badly damaged, cracked, or after a root canal, especially on molars.

Will the crown show?

Cosmetic crowns are made in the shade of your teeth so they look natural.

How long does a crown last?

With good hygiene and checkups, many years.

Why does an in-house lab matter?

Because the crown is made here with no middleman, and I check the fit before placing it.

How much does a dental crown cost?

It depends on the material and the tooth. I give you the price at your assessment.

Which type of prosthetic is right for me?

It depends on how many teeth are missing and the condition of the rest. At the assessment I walk you through the options and their trade-offs.

Bridge or implant?

A bridge rests on the neighboring teeth and is usually faster; an implant doesn't touch them. I'll tell you which fits your case.

How long does a prosthetic take?

Since I make it in my own lab, it doesn't depend on anyone else. I give you a timeline once I know which type you need.

Can an old denture be fixed?

Often it can be adjusted or repaired. Bring it in and I'll take a look.

How much do dentures cost?

It depends on the type and the material. I give you the estimate at your assessment.

When should a child first see the dentist?

The earlier the better: as soon as the first teeth come in, they can have their first checkup.

Do baby teeth need fixing if they'll fall out?

Yes. A cavity in a baby tooth hurts, gets infected and can affect the tooth coming in underneath.

What is jaw orthopedics?

Treatment for growing children that guides how the jaw bones develop and prevents bigger bite problems later.

What if my child is afraid of the dentist?

Let me know ahead of time. I work calmly, explain everything and we start with the simplest part.

How much is a visit for kids?

I give you the price when you book, based on what your child needs.

How often should I get a dental cleaning?

Generally every six months, though if you have gum problems I may suggest more often.

Does a cleaning hurt?

Usually not. If you have sensitivity or a lot of tartar it can be a little uncomfortable, and we take it slow.

Does a cleaning whiten teeth?

It removes surface stains but doesn't change the color of the tooth. That's what whitening is for.

Is it normal for gums to bleed?

No: it's usually a sign of inflammation from plaque or tartar. A cleaning and good hygiene almost always fix it.

How much does a dental cleaning cost?

I give you the price when you book. If you need anything else, I tell you before doing it.

Extractions and wisdom teeth

See the page on extractions and wisdom teeth

Do wisdom teeth always have to come out?

No. They come out when they hurt, get infected, come in crooked or have no room. If they come in fine and can be cleaned, they stay.

Does an extraction hurt?

It's done under local anesthesia. Afterward there may be some discomfort for a few days, managed with the instructions I give you.

What aftercare is needed?

I give you instructions: what to eat, how to clean the area and what to avoid the first days so it heals well.

What replaces the tooth that was pulled?

Depending on the case, an implant, a bridge or a removable prosthetic. I explain the options.

How much does wisdom tooth removal cost?

It depends on how the tooth is positioned. I give you the price after the exam.

Will the filling show?

It's matched to the shade of your tooth, so it barely shows.

How long does a filling last?

With good hygiene and checkups, years. Biting hard things or grinding your teeth wears it faster.

Filling or crown?

A filling works when the damage is small or medium. If the tooth is badly broken down, a crown protects it better. I'll tell you which after the exam.

Does getting a filling hurt?

Usually not. If the cavity is deep I use local anesthesia.

How much does a filling cost?

It depends on the size and how many surfaces of the tooth it covers. I give you the price at the exam.

What does the exam include?

A full check of your teeth, gums and bite, the diagnosis and a treatment plan with its cost.

How often should I get a checkup?

Generally every six months, together with your cleaning.

Do I get the estimate before starting?

Yes. You know the plan and the cost before any treatment, and you decide.

Should I bring anything to the exam?

If you have previous dental X-rays or records, bring them. They help me see how your mouth has changed.

How much does the exam cost?

I tell you the price when you book.

What is jaw orthopedics?

Treatment for growing children that guides how the jaw bones develop to prevent and correct bite problems.

Is it the same as orthodontics?

No. Orthodontics moves the teeth; orthopedics guides how the bones grow. They're often combined.

At what age should my child be checked?

The earlier the better, because orthopedics works while the bones are still growing.

Will my child need braces later?

It depends on the case. Sometimes orthopedics avoids or shortens later orthodontic treatment.

How much does jaw orthopedics cost?

It depends on the appliance and how long treatment takes. I give you the estimate after examining your child.

Because the piece is made here and I check it before it goes in. If anything needs adjusting, it gets done without waiting on an outside lab.

What gets made in the lab?

Fixed, removable and complete prosthetics, crowns and custom appliances.

Can a denture I already have be repaired?

Often it can. Bring it in and I'll take a look.

Is it faster with an in-house lab?

It doesn't depend on anyone else, so I control the timing. I tell you once I know which piece you need.

How long since your last dental visit?

If you can't remember, now is a good time. Message me and we'll set it up.
